Synopsis
The Storyline
Loki, the God of Trickery from Nordic mythology, was exiled by Odin, the leader of the Gods, to the human world and turned his body into that of a child. In his child form, Loki stays on Earth and opens the Enjaku Tanteisha (Enjaku Detective Agency) and lives with Yamino, who is his son, Midgard the Serpent, in human form. The reason for Loki's exile hasn't been revealed but many of the gods, such as Heimdall, Freyr, and the Norns, come after Loki for his life. On Earth, Loki meets Daidouji Mayura, a mystery loving girl. They go through lots of strange cases, which are caused by the gods coming after Loki's life. The anime is actually not as serious as this summary makes it out to be. Most of the time, it's pretty light-hearted and plotless.
